IMMIGRATION EXAM QUESTIONS
1. What is the process for scheduling and completion of a I693/immigration medical exam?
In an effort to maximize efficiency and cut down on clerical errors over the phone, we ask that you to schedule your appointment online instead of by phone. After booking your visit, you will be emailed medical intake forms and a link to a video visit. Your first contact/visit with the civil surgeon will be by video. During the first/video visit, you will meet the civil surgeon, review medical history, be directed where to go for lab testing and any needed vaccines, and schedule your second visit, which will be the in-person visit.
The second I693 exam will be in the office and include a physical examination and completion of the I693 form. At this visit, you will be given a copy of the I693 form for your records, a copy of lab test results, and a sealed copy of the I693 form to send to your attorney or USCIS.
The entire process is typically finished within 7 days on average, but sometimes takes as few as 4 days or as long as 10 days, depending on the turnaround time of the lab test results. Individual preferences for timing of the in-person visit will be considered during the video visit. We make every attempt possible to accommodate special requests.
2. Do I need to schedule a separate visit for each person in my family that needs an I693 exam?
Yes.
3. Are the cost of both the video and in-person visits immigration covered in the fee paid online at the time of booking?
Yes.

IMMIGRATION EXAM QUESTIONS
1. Why am I encouraged to schedule online?
It is efficient as it incorporates registration, scheduling, billing, and form completion all in one step. Misspelling of names and errors in demographic information like phone number and dates of birth are minimized when the patient enters this information directly instead of operators entering the information.
2. How long will it take to complete the immigration medical exam process?
The rate limiting step in the I693/green card process is the lab testing. USCIS requires the civil surgeon completing the form to order and review the testing needed. The test turnaround time is 5 days on average, but sometimes can be delayed longer if the lab makes errors or has an unexpected high volume of tests. We make every effort to work around problems to meet deadlines, but it is best to schedule the video visit portion of this exam asap if you are in a hurry.
3. Is the cost of vaccines and lab testing included in the price for the immigration or other exams?
No. The price for services is for physician time only. Medical insurance can be used to bill for testing and vaccines or you can pay out of pocket for testing and vaccines without insurance at very affordable prices.

*The cost of the civil surgeon portion of the exam is $310.65 This cost does not include the cost of tests and vaccines, and will not be billed to health insurance.
